Description
These detailed vintage prints reflect the wonder that is the natural world. They span artistic styles and scientific endeavours over four hundred years, 1600 to the early 1900s. The prints depict the evolution of both artistic techniques and science during this period and the commitment to knowledge and the preservation of nature’s works of art.
We are particularly proud and fond of our fine art prints. Each one not only represents a natural work of art, but is also a work of art in digital reproduction and dedicated print quality. We have spent hours curating this botanical selection and hope you find something that particularly appeals to you.
Our printing process
All images are printed here, in the west of Ireland, with Doorus Printing Studio who specialise in fine art printing.
We offer two different print papers. The first and more expensive is the highly specialised Hahnemühle Natural Line Hemp fine art paper, 290gsm. Thanks to the natural brightness of the hemp fibres (60% hemp, 40% cotton), no optical brighteners are used in producing this paper. Its surface has a lightly textured, silky feel, while colours and details are brilliantly reproduced. This paper is acid and lignin-free providing excellent age resistance. ISO 9706 compliant/museum quality for high age resistance. Combining printing expertise and use of high-quality materials ensures that your print colours will last more than 100 years.
The second paper choice is Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315gsm 100% cotton fine art paper. This paper has a bright white base and a gentle texture. Combining printing expertise and use of high-quality materials ensures that your print colours will last more than 85 years.
Only premium certified Epson inks are used to create the perfect reproduction.
